We are not a classroom product yet, and we will not sell you one
Tales By You is designed around a household with an adult account holder. Dropping that into a classroom without solving consent properly would be careless with other people's children.
Use it the way a family would
A librarian running a story hour, a reading specialist showing families a tool, or a teacher making a book for their own child at home — all of that works today on a normal household account, with the same privacy rules as any other family.
What does not work is creating profiles for children in your care. Please do not put a student's details into a household account. It is not what the account is for, and the consent behind it is not yours to give.
You are welcome to point families at us, and we will not ask you to hand over a class list or accept a referral fee for it. There is a free book with no card required, which is a reasonable thing to recommend without putting anyone on the spot.
If it would help to have a plain one-page explanation of our data practices for a family newsletter, ask and we will write one.
Four problems we would have to solve first
We are listing them so you can judge for yourself whether anyone selling you a classroom version has solved them.
