Terms of service

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. When you sign up you confirm that you are an adult and that you have the authority to create stories for the children in your household.

Tales By You generates picture book text and illustrations from the inputs you give us, reviews them for safety, and places the result in your private library for your approval. Output is produced by AI systems. It will sometimes be wrong, odd, or simply not what you hoped for, which is exactly why you review it before a child does.

• You keep the inputs you provide. We do not claim ownership of your family's details.
• You may read, print, and share your finished books for personal and family use.
• You may not resell books generated by Tales By You or present them as human-authored work for commercial purposes.
• We may not use your books in our marketing without asking you first.

You agree not to use Tales By You to generate sexual content involving minors, content that harasses or endangers a real person, hateful content, or content that would harm a child. Our content policy lists what we refuse and why. Attempts to bypass safety review, including prompt injection, will end your account.

Every plan includes a stated number of books per month. Generation costs us real money, so there is no unlimited tier. Books that fail or are blocked by safety review do not consume your allowance. Unused books do not roll over.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at your next renewal. If you cancel, your existing books remain readable, while generating new books and paid-only downloads and narration stop. See the refund policy.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used to harm a child, or that is charging back payments in bad faith. You may close your account at any time from Account.

Tales By You is provided as-is. We do not promise that a story will be free of mistakes, that safety review will catch everything, or that the service will always be available. We make no educational claims: we do not promise that using Tales By You will improve a child's reading, vocabulary, or school performance.

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect, and you may cancel if you disagree.
